Manufactures of radios or electronic boards often will no longer service their products. The reason usually given is that the parts are no longer available for servicing of their product. Components or parts may no longer be directly available from the semiconductor manufacture, or part manufacture, but they are available.
There are hundreds of vendors and suppliers that specialize in obsolete components or parts. They purchase overstock, obsolete components directly from the semiconductor or part manufacture, supply houses, repair facilities, or manufacturers that no longer need or use those components. We service and support boards and radios that are more than 20 years old and that have been considered obsolete by the original manufacturer.
